OUR CHOCOLATES

The wild cocoa used to make our chocolate bars is collected by indigenous communities in the forests of the Bolivian Amazon. The indigenous communities collect, select and ferment this wild cacao beans, providing raw material of a healthy, high quality and fine aroma product. We work with the indigenous communities ensuring our relationship following fair principles and the ILO principles regarding child labor.

Our process begins with the reception of the cocoa beans and ends with the bars carefully packed for your enjoyment. Once the raw material arrives at our facilities, it is carefully selected, leaving the high quality cocoa beans for roasting. We offer you our finely elaborated bars, with processes of conching in stone and a precise tempering, following the highest tradition of chocolate making in the world.

The cocoa we use distinguish for an intense aroma with notes of nuts, almonds, moderate acidity and long duration on the palate.

SOURCE OF OUR CACAO OF ORIGIN

 

We use wild cacao from the Bolivian Amazon. Wild cacao, because it grows in nature, has variable production cycles and is profoundly influenced by climate and floods. In areas where one year the production is high, the next may be very low, it is for this reason that we are permanently looking for new regions and producers to offer a chocolate of the highest quality.

Currently, we use origin wild cocoa that comes from:

  • The Beni river and its riverine forests, gathered by Tacana and Tsímane-Mosetene indigenous communities, and
  • The forests of the Isiboro Sécure Indigenous Territory and National Park (TIPNIS), gathered by Yuracare and Moxeño indigenous communities.

OUR FACILITIES

Located in the Municipality of Achocalla, a municipality of organic production, our facilities have been designed for a production of chocolate under high standards of safety and quality.

Our facilities are totally gluten, dairy and nuts free.

Our company is environmentally friendly; that's why we have made the following efforts:

  • 100% of the water we use is treated with the highest safety standards.
  • 100% of the wastewater is treated and returned to the environment as water of agricultural quality.
  • We use solar energy in part of the installations, where more than 1,000 recycled glass bottles filled with water are used to accumulate heat.
  • As far as possible, we have used recycled material in construction, such as doors, windows and glass, among others.
  • 100% of our luminaires and spotlights use LED technology.
